Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you (the caterer using Soustation) and us. By using Soustation you agree to them. We've kept them short and plain.

What Soustation does

Soustation is a tool for running a catering business: taking orders, prep sheets for your kitchen, deliveries and routes, and invoices through Square. It helps you work; it doesn't replace your judgment.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in, your staff PIN and your business code to yourself and your team.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what your staff do in the staff view.
• Tell us right away if you think someone got in who shouldn't have.

Your information

Everything you put in (menu, customers, jobs, staff) stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Soustation for you, as described in our privacy policy. You're responsible for having the right to use your customers' details, and for following the rules that apply to contacting them.

Check before you rely on it

• Orders from voice or typing are filled in by AI and can be wrong. Always check a job before you save it.
• Routes and drive times are estimates. Traffic, weather and parking are up to you and your drivers.
• Dietary tags (gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegetarian) are labels you add to help your kitchen. They aren't a guarantee, and food safety and allergens stay your responsibility.
• Prices and totals come from your Square catalog and your settings. Review invoices before you send them.

Square

Invoices and payments happen in your Square account, under Square's own terms. Soustation only sends an invoice when you press send. Refunds and disputes are handled in Square.

Fair use

Don't use Soustation for anything illegal, don't try to get into other businesses' information, and don't overload or reverse-engineer the service.

Price

Soustation is free while it's being tested. Before any paid plan starts, we'll tell you the price and you'll choose whether to subscribe. You can cancel at any time and keep using it until the end of the period you paid for.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Soustation running, but we can't promise it will never be down. Keep your own copy of anything you can't do without (Square keeps your invoices and payments). We may improve or change features; if we make a change that takes something important away, we'll tell you first.

Ending

You can stop using Soustation whenever you like and ask us to delete your information. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why.

Limits

Soustation is provided “as is.” As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for lost profits or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
